Registration & Fees FAQs

  • When and where is Safety 2024?
    Safety 2024 will be held Aug. 7-9, 2024.The professional development conference and exposition will be presented at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO.
  • How much is registration and what does it include?

    The early rate for ASSP members to attend is $759; $1019 for nonmembers. Please review all rates and registration deadlines on our registration page.

    You will be able to select from more than 200 concurrent and flash sessions and will earn 1.5 continuing education units (CEUs). As an attendee, you will also receive a lunch voucher that you can use all three days of the event at various food stations throughout the convention center.

  • Will there be an online conference this year?
    Our 2024 annual conference will not include a virtual component. We offer a wide range of other virtual/online educational opportunities, including SafetyFOCUS, online courses and webinars throughout the year. Check out assp.org for upcoming opportunities.
  • Will there be an early bird date?
    Yes, early rate savings are available through March 21, 2024. Visit our registration page to see all registration fees and deadlines.
  • Will there be expo-only passes?
    Yes. You will be able to purchase expo-only passes in advance of the event. The fee provides three-day access to the expo, but does not include admittance to education sessions or lunch vouchers. Registration for this option starts at $299 and is the same price for ASSP members or nonmembers.
  • How do I get my badge?
    Prior to the conference, we will send your badge barcode to the e-mail address you provided when you registered. Once you’ve arrived in Denver, please go to a registration kiosk to scan your barcode and print your badge. Please note: By registering and attending this event, you voluntarily accept all risks related to exposure from communicable disease and agree to not hold ASSP or its representatives liable for any illness or injury. You also agree to follow all safety and health protocols implemented by ASSP at the time of the event and to adhere to our Code of Professional Conduct
  • How soon after the conference will my transcript be updated/available?
    Your transcript reflecting the CEUs you earned during the conference will be available in your My ASSP account within 7 to 10 business days.
  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Need to substitute one person for another? Please submit substitutions by July 31, 2024 to customerservice@assp.org. If pricing has changed, you will be charged or refunded the difference. After July 31, 2024, a $75 substitution fee will apply.

    ASSP will grant full refunds to cancellation requests received by July 25, 2024, via e-mail to customerservice@assp.org. We will assess the following fees to cancellations received via e-mail between July 26 - July 31, 2024: Conference $200; Pre- and/or post-conference courses: $200/course.

    Cancellations requested after July 31, 2024, will forfeit refunds in their entirety.


Health & Safety Protocols FAQs

  • What safety and health protocols will be in place to protect people who attend in person?
    The Safety 2024 safety plan includes a range of protective measures designed to safeguard the health and safety of all conference attendees, exhibitors and ASSP staff. All individuals who attend the in-person conference in Denver will be required to follow established safety and health protocols. Please note that attending an in-person event presents an inherent risk of exposure to communicable disease. By attending this event, you voluntarily accept all risks related to exposure from communicable disease and agree to not hold ASSP or its representatives liable for any illness or injury. Travel & Lodging FAQs

  • How do I make my hotel reservations?

    We are partnering with onPeak to secure discounted rates at a selection of Denver hotels. onPeak is our only hotel provider and we encourage you to book through them for the best selection and price. To make your reservations, please visit the Accommodations page.

    Please note that no other third-party companies offering hotel assistance are endorsed by ASSP. Entering into financial agreements with these companies can have costly consequences that are not protected by event management.

  • Do you have any safety guidance for travelers?

    We encourage you to review CDC’s current guidance on domestic travel. CDC's guidance addresses vaccinations, face coverings, physical distancing and testing. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, or do not feel well, please do not travel.

  • Can international attendees come to the in-person conference?

    International attendees are welcome to attend Safety 2024 in Denver. All international travelers must meet the COVID-19 requirements established by the Centers for Disease Control for all air passengers arriving in the U.S. You can also check the U.S. Department of State and Transportation Safety Administration websites for further information.

Volunteer Leader FAQs

  • What role and/or activities will volunteer leaders have at Safety 2024?

    Volunteer leaders are critical to the organization and we are excited to offer an outstanding leader experience at Safety 2024. We thank you for your engagement and support as we look ahead to Safety 2024 in Denver. Below is more information about programs and responsibilities for ASSP leaders at Safety 2024.

    Volunteer Registration and Travel

    Volunteer leaders who hold the following positions for the 2023 – 2024 term will receive a non-transferable registration code for a complimentary registration to Safety 2024:

    • Board of Directors
    • Council Vice Presidents
    • Regional Vice Presidents
    • Administrators
    • Fellows
    • Society Past Presidents
    • PDC Planning Committee

    Under our current operating budget, we are reimbursing PDC travel expenses for only a limited number of volunteer leaders who attend Safety 2024 in Denver. For example, we plan to cover travel expenses for members of the Board of Directors since they have official on-site roles during the conference.

    No ASSP board, council or committee meetings will be held at Safety 2024.

    Community Receptions

    We will not host community receptions as part of the conference. However, member communities may host virtual receptions and/or informal gatherings. We will post information on these activities on the Safety 2024 networking page as details are finalized.

    In addition, all attendees are invited to attend the Wednesday night social event, which will be a ticketed event held on the Colorado Convention Center campus.

    Leader Responsibilities

    ASSP leaders are responsible for upholding the ASSP Code of Conduct and are accountable to all event rules and regulations.
